Dr Bruce Macaulay, Chairman of Transform Technology Limited, is a senior consultant with extensive experience at executive and non-executive director level in private companies and Government departments in the scientific and transport sectors.

Bruce is a Business Coach supporting SMEs applying to the EU’s EIC & Framework. Particular areas of technical expertise include: Rail Rolling Stock Electronics, Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV,) Electric Vehicles (EV) Functional Safety, Model Based Design, Electrical and Electronic engineering, Renewable Energy systems, Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and radio frequency interference (RFI.)

Bruce provides strategic Board level advice and coaching with detailed
project management and solutions implementation at the operating level.

Dennis Majoe

Dr Dennis Majoe (BSc in Electronic and Elec Eng, MSc Cybernetics, PhD multi-source navigation data signal processing and fusion, MBA).

Over 30 years of embedded processing and robotics actuator mechanical and electronic design and control. He developed the highly innovative patented CFM motor, the largest capacity coreless brushless 3-phase motor in the world. Combined industry and academic interests having worked at ETH Zurich, EPFL Lausanne, and Microsoft Research. Now with a main focus on automating drone logistics with a vision of true commercial viability at scale.

Frederick Harbottle

MA, FCMI

With almost four decades of service in the RAF as a pilot, flying instructor and standardiser, including with the USAF as Dep Chf of Standards for the 76,000 strong 15AF, senior posts followed as Chief of Current Ops running Air Defence of UK and service with the FCO in Pakistan. As directing staff at RAF Staff College and at the Joint Doctrine and Concepts Centre, responsibilities held included teaching joint and combined operations and staffing MoD’s command and battlespace concepts, and information operations. Commercial life has involved security and defence procurements in the ME and SE Asia, including composite armoured vehicles and latterly two years as Dir Ops at Drone Major Group. Currently, Chairman of the Operation Delivery Committee of the Drone Delivery Group engaged in producing white papers voicing industry concerns to government.

Jamie Sayer

CEng MBA SIIRSM RPP, Senior Principal Systems Engineer & UAV Expert, QinetiQ

Retired Commander - Jamie Sayer joined the Royal Navy in 1995 as an Air Engineering Officer (AEO). For his first front-line squadron tour, he was appointed to 801 Naval Air Squadron – operating the mighty Sea Harrier aircraft. On 801 NAS, he undertook deployments in support of Op Southern Watch (the IRAQ no fly zone) and Op Palliser (Sierra Leone). In 2005, he was appointed to Fleet HQ as the Release to Service Manager, responsible for the airworthiness for all 13 types of Royal Navy aircraft, including the more peculiar Dauphin helicopter and Mirach towed target. Whilst in this post, he oversaw the clearances for the Sea King Mk4 modifications that would facilitate the aircraft’s use in Afghanistan. After leaving Fleet HQ he was fortunate enough to convince the RN that he would be a perfect candidate for an MBA course at the Cranfield School of Management. Whilst on course he wrote a thesis analysing the contractual relationship between MoD and the UK Defence Aerospace Sector.

Neal Hutchinson

Principal Operational Systems Consultant

Neal Hutchinson is currently a Principal Operational Systems Consultant with Nova Systems after a long military career covering a wide variety of disciplines in both land and air domains. During his 6 years with the Military Aviation Authority (MAA), initially as the Rotary Wing and Uncrewed Air Vehicle Duty Holder Audit Team Lead and latterly as the Operating Assurance Special Projects Officer, Neal developed holistic end-to-end multi-disciplined MAA audits of air platforms and contributed to Air System Safety Case conceptual and practical development. His team was responsible for the introduction and development of the MAA Uncrewed Air Vehicle Regulations (RA1600 series), the rules for safe operation of all UK military air drones.
